What's at the Qore?

NOTHING!!!

Sony we here at GamesOnSmash have said that you are doing a poor job of marketing and if you don't do something different where informing the public is concerned on what the ps3 can do, the system will be a failure. Not only do you need to do a better job of advertising and marketing, your words are becoming meaningless. The games you announce for the system rarely meet their scheduled release date and the software that is released to the system more often than not falls short of your hype. In my opinion sony you have the best games on your console, but you also have the most dissapointments. I have one word for you, "Qore." It was announced with a lot of fanfare and buzz and I would argue with anybody, that it's just shit. You said we will be recieving exclusive beta invites, demo's and wallpapers through the subscription of Qore.   4 month's later, 4 episodes later not a single FUCKING THING except some sorry ass lbp theme and socom theme. We did recieve the Naruto demo a week earlier before the psn store. Whoopty Fucking-do. Nothing about Qore is exclusive or worth the price of an episode or subscription. With every beta that is being held there are several different ways to get invited. The easiest is to pre-order a copy of the game at your local gamestop and you'll be in the beta sooner than the person waiting to reedem their download through Qore. Sony, Qore sucks! It's almost been half a year. I hope you have more to offer than what we've seen.

AND WHAT HAVE WE WON?

First let me say that it's been a long time since we did a smash and that changes now. We all know about the trophies that we have on Warhawk,Uncharted,Pixel Junk Eden, and Super Stardust HD, but where are the ones for the games that just came out? There are no trophies for the Star Wars game, Madden, Bionic Commando and don't let me get started on Call of Duty 4. The rumble and trophy feature should be in every game. Sony should be making these game company's put trophies in there games. M$ does it and some games would sell better if the feature were in there. From what Sony says, "it only takes a day to make" so I don't know why there not in all their titles. I love to look on my xmb and see if I have more trophies than people on my friends list, but if nothing is there then what am I looking for? Like they say in the movies if you build it they will come, but for us what is there to come? To Sony, step your game up!

Community

A question arose from one of the members of the group awhile ago and I thought it should be mentioned here. He said,"it seems that you guys are always smashing Sony. How come you never smash the 360 or Nintendo." I replied, "being that I don't have a 360 or a Wii my smashes and strong opinions are one of first hand experience." I could talk for days on end about Microsoft's flaws, but since I don't own a system I don't feel the need to bash it. I personally don't think Nintendo has any flaws. Let me explain. Their system is durable and it serves its purpose(to play games). Many hardcore gamers may say, "they don't have any good hardcore games." That's a choice Nintendo made with their console to focus on the casual gamer, not a flaw. Their third party support is a little lacking, but all companies lack a little support in a few areas. Microsoft has very few first party support, Sony is coming along with their 3rd party support and their first party support is strong, but they can't hold onto an exclusive. Even though Devil May Cry, FF, and GTA are third party titles, they should have been bought out as timed exclusives at least. The purpose of the our smashes is to tell, critique, and vent what is wrong with a personal issue at hand. Since all of us have a PS3 and this is a PS3 website, we are going to voice our opinions about Sony and developers and maybe our readers will be in agreement or disagreement and voice their comments. Since you have both systems and you can speak from your experience by all means voice your opinions here. I would like to smash the Sony community. Simply put, YALL PS3 OWNERS OUT THERE WITHOUT A MIC NEED TO STEP YOUR GAME UP. See the people in home talking with one another. Where is that taking place on the Playstation network?

FALSE OWNERSHIP

I am just gonna speak my mind on this because things are not adding up. Sony recently just came out with their PSN Video Store, which gives you the ability to rent HD movies or rent/buy SD movies. Now here it goes, if you were to rent a HD/SD movie off the video store there is a message that pops up and gives you information about the rental, telling you that you have 14 days to keep the movie, but once you download it you will only have 24 hours to watch it. Ok, I understand that because they show the information about the rental so nothing bad there. Now here's where things start getting crazy. I purchased a couple of movies and T.V. shows off the video store and had them a couple of days, watched them with the wife and friends a couple of times and then I deleted them. So like two days later family come in from out of town and they were asking if I had any good movies to watch. So I went into the video store and go to the download list so I can download some of the movies I purchased off the store. Come to find out that there are no videos in my download list like how the games are when you download one. So I go into the Terms and Service of the user agreement to find out what's going on, and they say, "once you purchase a purchasable content you can watch it a unlimited amount of times, but once the content is deleted you will have to purchase the content again........WTF?!?!?!" That had me all boggled in my head, because I purchased a movie off the video store that I thought I was going to keep, then find out that once you delete it you have to purchase it again???? It shouldn't be like that Sony. It ain't like that with your games that you can purchase on the store. Why is it like that with your video store? Your giving people the option of renting or purchasing movies, but if you purchase and delete it you will have to buy it again. Sounds like "INDIAN GIVING" to me. Also when I go into the video store to buy the movie back because Sony took it from me, it's not even there to purchase again. I'm really pissed at the moment. I understand that you know people share content with their friends and you don't want people sharing movies because you can get in trouble and lose a lot of money, but how come you can't lock the movies to the console just like you did with Warhawk and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue? All I'm saying is that don't say you give the option to purchase movies so you can be better than your competitor, but end up making us buy the movie again if you delete it. I will not buy a movie off the video store again until Sony fixes that problem. I will only be renting movies, but the whole thing is that a lot of good movies are not even for rent, you HAVE to purchase them.

NO GAME, NO ORIGINALITY

Now I know it's hard to think of things that are one of a kind, but damn M$ can you come up with anything remotely original? You showed Lips and it's Singstar, the Avatars are mii's, the dashboard you took from apple, and Scene it is Buzz. When are you going to show us gamers something ORIGINAL? You have a lot of money, you buy games, you buy people, but can you buy some good or ORIGINAL ideas for your system? I DON'T THINK YOU CAN. The only thing I've seen ORIGINAL come from the XBOX is the RRoD and that's not a good idea. Call me a fanboy if you want, but it still doesn't change the fact that your product is unoriginal and breaks 33% of the time.

STEP IT UP

Sony I love you more than the competition, but your marketing team and your new video rental service you provide is garbage. The biggest game was coming to systems and there was hardly any publicity for it. You seemed more interested in marketing that sorry ass game in HAZE. MGS4 was a game that could sell itself, but in general you need to STEP YA GAME UP in the marketing department. I like the fact that your new video store was released to the public at E3, but how the fuck you gonna tell me how often I can watch a movie I rented with my own money? When it comes to the video service you have NO GAME.

FANBOYS

We pretend that there are only 360 fanboys, but I'm here to tell you there are ps3 fanboys too! Everyone knows who that clown is to the left. If your a multiple console owner, and own a 360 reading this article don't get it twisted cuz he's not the worst. This may be a biased opinion, but I believe that anyone to go and get 5 and 6 ANYTHING OF A FAULTY PRODUCT in my opinion is the worst fanboy out there. FANBOYS in general are RIDICULOUS. When did the trend start, and Why is there so many this generation? We all have a little bit of fanboyism in us, but it seems like some people are taking it TOO FAR. You like how I made up that word? (fanboyism) Now that the ps3 is building a nice name for itself, I'm sorry fans for mentioning his, but FANBOYS and CHAD WARDEN "STEP YO MUTHAFUCKIN LIFE UP!"
